Meet Hope… she is beautiful and funny and full of life. A conversation with her is always full of great surprises.
Hope wanted family pictures. This turned out to be a bigger task to get everyone’s calendar coordinated than we imaged. However… the day finally came. Freezing weather or not, we were going to rock out family pictures because we weren’t sure how long before we could get everyone together again.
As I sit here and write this, Hope has not seen her images yet. I’m blogging some of my favorites… because, well… I can.
Something I don’t do often is show the ones that I love, knowing that others may not see the beauty in them that I do. Hope and her family are PERFECTLY imperfect. They are beautiful and strong… because of the chapters in their life that brought their stories together.
Hope and Gary… I am honored that you have chosen me to be your family photographer. Thank you!
I am completely honored to present to you Mr. and Mrs. Jaso. Michelle and Chris were married on New Years Eve 2012
I have known Michelle for a few years now, I photographed her and her two boys a couple of years ago. She has the most beautiful smile… and Chris definately has made this sweet lady smile.
The Jaso’s decided on a small ceremony at te Justice of Peace in Fort Worth on Christmas eve. They were surrounded by friends and family… it may or may not have turned out to be a “small” gathering.
Chris and Michelle stood up in front of their friends and family with their sweet boys by their sides. As the the judge asked for the rings, each set of brothers passed them down to their new parent. It was a beautiful gesture and a wonderful way to ensure the boys were an integral part of the moment.
Michelle and Chris, Congratulations! I wish you a lot of love on this next chapter in your life. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your incredible moment.
I Heart Faces is a fabulous place for photographers. This month they are running a contest for the best face of 2012.
Let me just say… this was crazy hard to pick just one. I even enlisted the whole family in voting. I have some of the best clients, and picking just one beautiful face was so hard!
I chose this beautiful little girl because I feel as though her eyes tell a sweet story. I cannot wait to see her grow up and become a lovely young woman.

One of the greatest things about living in a small town is all the great little businesses that are run by incredible people. Not big, giant corporations… but people who are genuinely invested in the community and the people within. A great lady named Melissa Acosta, owner of Artistic Savvy Studio, called me a few weeks ago because she needed some good images of her inventory to use for marketing. I love this part of my job! I get to see all the latest and greatest things that these businesses are rolling out, and it gives me an opportunity to get to know more about the people and the business.
Melissa is such a creative person… I mean really, you just cannot believe the things she creates. I am in awe everytime she shows me somthing new.
For example – this… this was created from a fence that had blown down and was going to be disposed of.
The amazing thing about living in a small town and getting to know these local business owners is that you also get to know them on a personal level. Melissa has three amazing kids… I mean AMAZING… they blew me away by how much compassion and love they have in their little souls the first time i met them. Melissa also takes care of her nephew who has some physical disabilities. She is the person that you can call at anytime and she will move mountains if she can for you. You will be hard pressed to find someone that has a sweeter heart than her.
Melissa just recently opened up a new studio, Artistic Savvy Studio, in Old Town Burleson. Lucky for me – she’s just aroud the corner from the Beautiful Evolutions studio. You can stop in and shop a little if you are looking for something unique and creative as a gift or for your own home. Check out some of this stuff… I love it!
Seriously, the one of a kind jewelry… absolutely incredible!
Looking for a fun ladies night out?? You should definately look at booking a project party with her. All those fabulous things you have seen on Pinterest… yeah, she can help you make them.
If you are in or around Old Town Burleson.. Seriously stop by and check her out! You will fall in love with her store.

This sweet lady contacted me and wanted to schedule her family session as soon as possible. She was cutting her hair and donating her the next week for Locks of Love. We toyed around with the idea of doing after, but she finally decided she wanted to get one more family picture in with her pretty long hair.
August has a beautiful family and you can see how proud of them she is in her eyes.
Thank you Augusta, it was my honor to photograph you and your family!
