These two beautiful ladies are engaged and working hard to plan their upcoming wedding. When Desiree reached out to me about photographing them as a couple, I was excited. Excited because I’ve watched thru FB as their relationship has evolved, how they have grown together and how they have turned a passion for working out into a passion that they can share. Desiree and Aimee met thru BODYJAM™ classes and now they both teach LesMills fitness classes. They have never had pictures done together and both claimed to be awkward. Well, I was on a mission to prove them wrong.

They knew what type of location they wanted to so we chose the beautiful Lost Oak Winery down in Burleson, Texas. This time of year, it’s a spectacular location and has the perfect vineyard for stolen moments.

We started the session just chatting… and honestly, I was killing time hoping the sun would go down just a smidge and cool down… I would have taken just a couple of degrees. Hello Texas Heat. Life Inspired Engagement sessions are some of my favorite, If you have followed along, you know I’m not too big on perfectly posed pictures. I want the smiles, the laughter, the funny faces and the awkward moments. ALL of those things, tell your story. Aimee and Desiree didn’t disappoint in this area. We had a great time. Although it was brutally hot – they did an amazing job and I couldn’t be happier with their session.

Thank you girls for trusting me to be your photographer. You both are beautiful and I absolutely cannot wait to see how your wedding details come together.
All my love
Brooke

If you have listened to me talk about photography, you will know I am a big advocate for family pictures. I believe you should do family pictures as often as possible. We change so much year to year… our lives evolve and our worlds constantly change. Your pictures… they tell your stories. Not everyone sees the value in having family pictures done, not everyone takes the time to carve out a couple of hours to pull it together to have them done. However, I’ve never had a client do a family session and say “I wish we hadn’t done family pictures”. Never. Ever.
Abbye and I have been talking about doing her family pictures for over a year. The last time that Abbe and her parents had family pictures done was when she was a little girl… for the church directory. I’m certain I cried a little when she told me this. Then I giggled relentlessly when she showed me the picture. I’ll hold on to that for blackmail at a later date. This past weekend we traveled down to Waxahachie, TX to photograph Abbye and her parents. I won’t go into the back story here, but I will say, these pictures are priceless and I think they will be cherished for many many years. I had the privilege to photograph this sweet family of three and give them updated photographs. (seriously, think back to your church directory pictures… go ahead, i’ll wait for you to conjure up that picture).

OK… carrying on. The session was short and sweet, because let’s be real… Texas heat is no joke, even at 9am. However, in a short time frame I was blessed to capture their laughter, their love, and hear a little of her parents story. They have beautiful images to last forever… and I have beautiful stories to inspire me to a lifetime of love.
Abbye’s parents met on a blind date, almost 44 years ago. On the 2nd date, she asked him to marry her. 10 days later… they were married. Nothing fancy, no big to-do. No engagement pictures, maybe not even any actual wedding photos, no big party.
Today… almost 44 years later, they still look at each other like they just met. The love they share and exude is truly breathtaking. I could watch them talk and laugh all day long. He watches over her as her protector and her champion and you can see just how much he adores her each time his eyes find her. She kisses him like they are still teenagers and you can see how safe she feels in his arms.

Thank you Abbye for allowing me to photograph your family. This is exactly my WHY for what I do. I have been able to document 44 years of love between two people, document their love for the beautiful daughter, and document laughter that will triumph over anything life throws their way.

All my love
Brooke.

This beautiful little girl just turned ONE! I was so happy when her momma called me a few months ago to set up her session. I absolutely love photographing little ones. This age is fun because they are just learning new experiences and their eyes light up with everything they see.

I was crazy in love with how her momma planned their session. She’s got a sweet style and did fabulous pulling all of the little details together. These lemons… so stinkin sweet. Luckily for us – Juliet hasn’t quite figured out the art of throwing yet… yet. One of my favorite things about this location was the ducks. We had a beautiful afternoon, a little humid, but still just beautiful. A perfect place for momma to love on this little girl.

Juliet is now one. She is changing daily and you can now see her little personality start to form and come into her own. Momma was smart and knew it would take a village… so she brought along some help. Everyone pitched in to keep Juliet smiling, laughing and clapping. I always wonder what people think as they walk by one of our 1 year sessions. I’m sure our group of 5 women and a baby was a sight to see… I think it was WELL worth it though.

This little girl stole a little piece of my heart this day. She’s just as beautiful as her mommy and both of their smiles light up the room.

Brittany, thank you for trusting me to be your photographer. I had an incredible afternoon with you and Juliet and absolutely loved documenting your love for her.
Much Love
Brooke

Say Hello to Dallas! Dallas is one of our 2018 Spokesmodel Members. He’s mysterious, and quiet, and well… he’s really stinkin funny. I was lucky enough to photograph his sister’s senior pictures and I’m really excited that he is on the Spokesmodel Team this year.

Dallas has a look all his own and it absolutely suits who he is as a person and an artist. Dallas has dreams to be a music producer… FUN FACT: He already has a couple of deals going.

Dallas will graduate from Centennial High School, Burleson Texas in 2019 – and I absolutely can’t wait to shoot more with him over the coming year.

Let me introduce to one of our 2018 Spokesmodel Members, Triniti. She is one of our underclassman for this years team – she will graduate Burleson High School in 2019. She’s just gorgeous and has the sweetest soul to match it.

One of the things that I ask all of my Spokesmodels is what their dreams are when they grow up. Well, she just completely blew me out of the water. Triniti has plans to attend Harvard Medical School and become a pediatric oncologist. Whoah!! Talk about a girl with a plan and on a mission. I have absolutely no doubt at all that she will achieve this and so much more.

Not only is she beautiful, and has big dreams… she’s very active. Triniti is in the band, colorguard as well as NHS.

I absolutely cannot wait until we shoot some more together. Ms. Triniti – you are remarkable!
xoxo
