The 2024 BE Project – In a world where you can BE anything, what will you choose?
I chose that word. I just thought I’m going to put my head down and work.
Meet Cindy Wade and Her Personal Reflections
All my life I was always the poor one in the group, so I never could like do all the things that everybody else is doing. Now it’s like, no – I feel good about, you know. I can be generous and donate and do the things I want to do.
Physically, I started doing some lifting so I could just build core and build some strength, you know, I just decided to quit caring about trying to be skinny again. And just like, you know what, I’m just going to embrace who I am. I’m going to eat well, and be healthy. I want to lose inches, but I want to also kind of not bulk up. I just be strong.
In my prayer time – I hear God talking to me. I just felt like He wants me to focus on just being connected to people, having a wide circle of friends and a great sphere of influence. I’ve done well professionally. All my business has come from my circle, I’ve not paid for a single lead. It’s all come from my sphere of influence and referrals from them. Over the last year or two I have felt out of touch with a lot of people. I just felt like God was saying, don’t worry about it, you got this, like, don’t worry about the transactions. Just go connect with people, go meet new people. Don’t put a number on it. Go take people to lunch, go bless them, go ask how you can serve them. And so that’s how the word came. God will take care of the finances. I’m faithful to what he gives, and it’s been cool. Just be connected.
If you could go back and talk to yourself two years ago, what would you say?
I would say lift your head up once a week. it’s okay to not always be working. I would just say, set your boundaries and stick to them.
