In a world where you can be anything, what will you choose?

I chose dedication because I feel like I want to focus more on just life in general, and dedicating more to spending time in certain areas and fulfilling it. Dedicating more time with my daughter, since she’s three and she’s so little.

Who or what inspires you right now and how does that show up in your life

My mother. Because she’s just hardworking. She always goes above and beyond for other people, no matter even if she’s on her lowest, she’ll do whatever she can. She dedicates being better and trying to serve other people.

What is something that you wish others knew about you that they might not see on the surface?

I’m not as outgoing as some people think I am. I’m very quiet and shy until you really get to know me.

I’m not as outgoing as some people think I am. I’m very quiet and shy until you really get to know me.

What’s one piece of advice that you’ve received that has stuck with you, and why?

No matter how hard things are going in life or how hard things are, there are people who have it worse than you.  I’ve always been told God sees everything. So even if you feel like this is not the best time at the moment, why is this happening, just remember that God sees it and he’s going to continue to guide you and you could have it ten times worse than anybody else could.

What is one immediate action you can take to feel closer to your goals?

I’ve written it at home on my mirror just to remember, even if I feel like, oh, I’m going to push off school work, no, you’ve decided this is what you want to do, so dedicate your time, the time that you have doing that instead of scrolling socially on social media or, you know, not even worrying about pushing it off and decide to spend more time with my kids.

If you could go back and talk to yourself two years ago, what would you say?

To not give up and to have continued on. So then I could have been where I wanted to be by now.

The BE Project with Beautiful Evolutions Photography

The BE Project was created in 2016.  Two crazy girls had an idea and it came to life on a napkin at lunch one day. They partnered with a local jeweler, Woolards Custom Jewelry and a beautiful necklace was created.  What began as a marketing campaign turned in to an annual photo project that has allowed people to share a word that is important to them and why that word guides them.  Each year, in January, the project opens back up for registrations.  One week is dedicated to photographing the incredible people that want to join us.  All images are black and white to keep from any distractions.  Just the human and their word.

Head over to THE BE Project page read some of the incredible stories that have been shared with us.
