I recently had the absolute joy of capturing a maternity session for two amazing ladies who are getting ready to welcome their second little one. It honestly feels like just yesterday I was documenting their wedding day—crying tears of joy behind the camera as they exchanged vows. To now celebrate this next big chapter in their lives is just incredible. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do.
We had our session planned and then—surprise!—the weather threw a curveball at us. A storm was looming in the distance, but we decided to go for it anyway, and wow, am I glad we did. The skies were dramatic and moody, creating this stunning backdrop for their photos. There’s something magical about the way the clouds can turn a scene into something so striking. And just as we finished up and were walking back to the car, the skies opened up, giving us that perfect sense of timing to wrap everything up.
These sessions are always filled with laughter, love, and a little bit of chaos—like when a toddler refuses to cooperate right before a shot! It’s those real, messy moments that make the best memories. I can’t wait to see how their family grows and what adventures await them.
