The BE Project | Renee and “Build”
Every year, The BE Project invites people into my studio to pause, reflect, and choose a word that will guide the next chapter of their lives. It is not about perfection or reinvention overnight. It is about honesty. Courage. Becoming.
Renee’s word came with clarity.
“Build.”
Not hustle.
Not grind.
Build.
The BE Project exists because I believe that we are all evolving and every person deserves to see themselves as art while they are becoming the person they are meant to be.
Why She Chose “Build”
Renee is focused on foundations this year.
Building stronger relationships.
Building consistency.
Building trust.
Building wealth for her clients and security for her family.
But above all, building her relationship with the Lord.
She grew up in church, her father was a pastor, and she knows what it feels like to be spiritually grounded.
Covid shifted routines.
Distance grew.
Now she is intentionally rebuilding that connection.
“If it helps me build what God is calling me to build, it’s a yes. If it doesn’t, it’s a no.”
What She Is Working Toward This Year
This past year
was hard for many in her industry.
Goals were missed.
Momentum slowed.
But Renee did well.
She is proud of that.
Proud that she stayed disciplined.
Proud that she is holding herself accountable.
2026 is not about doing more.
It is about building better.
What Grounds Her
Her husband.
Her boys.
Time at home.
Those are her pillars.
Everything she builds professionally is meant to support that life.
What She Is Learning About Herself
Renee is proud that she recognized the spiritual gap and chose to address it.
Proud that she restarted church attendance regularly.
Proud that she wants more for herself and her family.
Awareness is the first brick in any rebuild.
Photographing “Build”
In the studio, build looked steady.
Composed.
Purposeful.
A woman who understands that strong structures take time.
H
er portraits felt grounded and determined.
A Final Reflection
Renee’s story reminds us that what we build this year shapes what stands years from now.
Strong foundations matter.
What word would you choose for this season of your life?
What are you stepping into this year?
