In a world where you can be anything, what will you choose?
Intentional
This year I’m gonna try to be intentional with who I spend time with, what I do with my time, taking pictures of the time that I spend with people I care about.
Who or what inspires you right now and how does that show up in your life?
My children. They’re 22 and 25. They’re not babies. But my oldest got married a year ago, and now my little one’s getting married this year. I’m a nurse, and they both are nurses. As a mom, I feel like I’ve set a good example, and they inspire me to keep moving forward and doing well. They inspire me to be better, and present myself better, and for them to learn from that.
What is something that you wish others knew about you that they might not see on the surface?
I love very deeply. I appear harsh, but when I love, I love very deeply.
What’s one piece of advice that you’ve received that has stuck with you, and why?
Probably to live it at the moment. And if five years from now, it’s not gonna matter, let it go. Choose your battles. And try to focus more on the positive.
If you could go back to any age and have a conversation with your younger self, what would you say?
I’d go back to my teenage years, and tell myself to be confident, and that I could do whatever I wanted to do, and just set a goal and go for it and I am enough.
