I’ve had to be so patient with this session. This sweet kids had a special Christmas present for their Mae Mae. The mommas planned all the clothes, we prayed for good weather, everything came together perfectly. (Sidenote: this bed has been in the family for a very long time, generations. I LOVE when clients have props and furniture that have meaning)
This was a secret mission. Here’s the problem. Mae Mae is ALL OVER facebook and social media. Nothing could be posted or shared. If you know me… that is SOOOOO hard. I received a sweet message yesterday that the Christmas gifts were a hit and she was so happy.
So now, I can share with you the sweetness that is Kinsey, Colton, Kylee-jo, and Ellie Grace.

Mark and Tallula have been planning this beautiful day for a very long time. If you know Tallula, you will know that she had each and every detail planned and documented. I had the pleasure of meeting Tallula right at the time she needed to choose a photographer. I was honored to document their day and the love that surrounded them.
The day started off threatening rain. I’m pretty certain we all did a “no rain” dance. Thankfully, it passed right by and only dropped a few small rain drops. Tallula and Mark both arrived at the venue to prepare for their day. Surrounded by love and laughter.
The amazing Sonya Sawyer transformed Tallula into the absolutely stunning bride that radiated all day and evening!
We only had just a few moments for bridals prior to time to tuck Tallula away before the guests arrived. Tallula is an absolutely beautiful woman, but on this day, she was the definition of beautiful.
The little details of the day are so important and often over looked. Every bride spends hours pouring over and planning the little details of the day. It is little things that most people don’t give much thought to. She did a phenomenal job.
The ceremony was beautiful. Tallula and Mark were surrounded by a bridal party that absolutely rocked the day. Beautiful and full of laughter. This day couldn’t have been any more perfect for this Tallula to marry her love.

Congratulations on a BEAUTIFUL ceremony…. just a few stolen moments before the hustle and bustle of the reception.
and now… let the party begin!

The wedding and reception were held at A&M Gardens in Azle, TX. This venue is stunning beyond words. It’s a photographers paradise. The amazing coordinator, Cindy, walked me around and with every new area she took me to, it took my breath away. Cindy was a godsend, every single bride needs a Cindy for the wedding. She, and her counterpart Kelly, took care of every detail and ensured that the wedding remained on schedule.
Special thank you to DJMikeBoogie for doing a fantastic job keeping the music on point all night long and to Jimmy Raney with GR8 Bartender Services. He kept everyone very happy all night 🙂

When it rains in Texas… it rains. I have rescheduled this family more times than I can count. I woke up Saturday morning… said a prayer did a “no rain” dance… and thankfully it held off.
The wind.. the wind did not play nice. Regardless, I am madly in love with these images.
Little Liam was so super shy. Not uncommon for 3 year olds. However, this is my strong game! I love little ones and getting them to warm up. It usually takes a few minutes to find out what will get them interested. Liam took all of MAYBE 5 minutes. Sticks! He LOVED to find sticks … and of course running. He is a boy through and through.
Every session I try to get families to loosen up a little bit and love on each other. If you have had a session with me, you will that phrase often… just snuggle in and love on each other.
It’s these moments that turn out to be some of my favorite. Running hugs. Imperfectly posed, windblown and good genuine smiles that run all the way thru their eyes.
As I was preparing for the session… I did a little facebook prowling. Hey! Be nice, what better way to learn what exciting things are going on in your clients life 🙂
I saw that these two beautiful girls just recently got engaged. I am so excited for them. They look at each other and their live just sparks like a fire. It is absolutely beautiful to see.
We were ending the session. Liam was absolutely done. Remember, he is 3… SHORT attention span for the crazy lady with the camera. However, I had him run one more time to a tree far away. He stopped and I grabbed this. THIS is one I would love to see big on a wall. BIG! He’s such a sweet boy and is surrounded by love!
