Let me introduce to one of our 2018 Spokesmodel Members, Triniti. She is one of our underclassman for this years team – she will graduate Burleson High School in 2019. She’s just gorgeous and has the sweetest soul to match it.

One of the things that I ask all of my Spokesmodels is what their dreams are when they grow up. Well, she just completely blew me out of the water. Triniti has plans to attend Harvard Medical School and become a pediatric oncologist. Whoah!! Talk about a girl with a plan and on a mission. I have absolutely no doubt at all that she will achieve this and so much more.

Not only is she beautiful, and has big dreams… she’s very active. Triniti is in the band, colorguard as well as NHS.

I absolutely cannot wait until we shoot some more together. Ms. Triniti – you are remarkable!

Every once in a while, I like to shoot for me. I have something in my mind’s eye that I want to create. I think often times we (creatives) get bogged down by “work” that we forget to take time to make things that we want to make. Flash back a few weeks ago and a spot I had been, not so patiently, waiting for finally bloomed. It was beautiful. It was magical. I quickly scheduled a couple of clients, knowing that not everyone would be able to make it. I also grabbed my beautiful daughter and asked her to do a quick shoot with me.
I wanted to not only test the light but wanted make sure what I saw in my mind, I’d be able to create. We did and the images were gorgeous. Fast forward one week. One stinking week. Two storms, 7 days… ALL of the flowers had been destroyed in the wind. I threw a minor temper tantrum before this beautiful girl and her mother arrived. Just a minor one. I regrouped and came up with a new plan. This beautiful girl and her mom came to Fort Worth, TX EARLY last Saturday morning.
Savannah is a beautiful girl. I’ve photographed her before for a portfolio that her mother needed. I knew she could do the jumps and poses that I envisioned so I was super excited to that she was able to meet me early in the morning. What I didn’t know – was that the day before we met – it was her 13th birthday. So, this is a little late… however, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET GIRL!!
It was freezing cold and she was amazing. I don’t know how her toes didn’t go numb… mine were 🙂
The light at this time of day just can’t be any prettier. Can you believe she is ONLY 13?? This just blows my mind. I love the relationship that she and her mom have. They are friends, her mom helps coach her thru her dancing and her moments, I’m sure they don’t always get along… but I will just pretend they do. Side note: I kept cracking myself up because I don’t know the official language for dance. I don’t know the names of the jumps or the poses. I’m sure they giggled all they way home listening to me be a goober trying to explain what I wanted her to do. Regardless… we always have fun when we shoot together!

Before we left, we stepped around to the other side of this art piece… the sunlight coming in behind her kept tugging at my soul and my heart. These are images I think every dancer should have. This isn’t a technically awesome picture in the world of photography… but it’s beautiful. And sometimes, you just need something to be beautiful… and not technical.

Thank you so much girls for playing with me on a chilly morning. Savannah – I hope your birthday weekend was absolutely incredible!
Much Love to you both!

Mack… this girl. She’s a beautiful girl, she’s quiet, she’s funny, she’s awkward… but she is an incredibly genuine and kind girl. Mack is a Class of 2017 graduating Senior at Burleson High School.

Mack and her best friend Hannah spent a morning with me shooting in Fort Worth, TX. We laughed and walked and walked some more. Mack was a little nervous getting started but by the end she was twirling around with the best of them… well, not really twirling – more like walking in circles. Kidding… kinda.

I asked what made Mack special… here are a couple of things:
She loves to tell pun jokes… especially when she’s nervous
She’s awkward… and she completely knows this.
She could survive on Twinkies and Gushers. (go ahead world, roll your eyes at how thin she is and that is her diet)

Mack has decided to attend McMurray University and I have absolutely no doubt that she will move mountains in her life. Every day is a celebration in Mack’s life…. cheers to all the things that are upcoming to celebrate.

Much Love

Sweet Hannah. This beautiful girl and her best friend rocked out their senior sessions in the Magnolia area in Fort Worth. We had so much fun even though the weather wasn’t just stellar. After a visit getting hair and makeup done – we started our morning out walked to the far end. It couldn’t have been more perfect for these girls.
Hannah is a Class of 2017 senior at Burleson High School!

She has a beautiful heart and full of laughter. She has a smile that lights up a room. Her kindness truly beams from her and you just can’t help but adore her.

I know her parents are SO proud of her. She has signed with McMurray University and will be playing soccer. I know she’s excited because every time we bring it up – her smile runs so big you think her cheeks must hurt. I am so excited to see all the great things that come her way.

Hannah you are truly a remarkable young lady and I’m so blessed to have the honor of doing your senior session. Thank you for just being you! You are pretty amazing.

It’s not often that I get to photograph a surprise proposal. Engagements… absolutely. But to be able to plan out and document such a big moment. It’s so amazing!
I had an event planned at Lost Oak Winery this past weekend to photograph some Valentine Mini sessions. Well… little did I know, I had perfect timing for the weekend that we chose. Up in Oklahoma City, a man named Dewan was making a big plan for a moment that would change the rest of his life.
Dewan called me and told me all of the big details. He had planned a BIG date day and was going to propose to his girlfriend. He already knew what he wanted to do and how we would orchestrate it. Together, we came up with a good story and a valid reason for me being there (mini sessions were the perfect cover). We nailed down the details of how to meet up, how to recognize each other and all the little loose ends were tied together.
I strolled over to them and gave them my big story, that I had spent all day photographing little kids and would love to spend some time photographing a couple that was so in love. I told corny jokes. I was my usual self, a complete dork. It all worked perfectly. Dewan and Patricia were amazing and we had so much fun with them. They were full of love and laughter.

My favorite thing about Dewan and Patricia…. their laughter. Let’s just be real for a minute… if you can’t laugh with each other, you are just missing out on the best thing in life.

So it was time… we actually had a really tight time frame to get everything done that Dewan had planned…. so I explained to Patricia that I had this idea that I wanted to see if I could make work. (Side note: Dewan had seen a video that he wanted to try to recreate. I think ours was WAY better.) Patricia waits patiently for me to give her the cue. She is supposed to turn around, throw the rose petals in the air and then Dewan will hug her tight. What she wasn’t expecting was Dewan to be down on his knee…. she almost missed it 😉

All in one quick moment… you could see it in her eye. She realized he wasn’t standing. She realized he was down on one knee. Then she realized he was holding a beautiful diamond ring.

I’m pretty certain that everyone at Lost Oak Winery was crying and cheering along. It was a beautiful moment and Dewan did such a great job of pulling of a fantastic surprise. Their love for each other is amazing. Not only is it strong, but it’s full of everything that counts. They will have a beautiful life together.

But wait… that wasn’t the only surprise that Dewan had up his sleeve. He had one more BIG thing planned for Patricia. I’m sure in her mind, she NEVER dreamed of a date day like this. They rode out to enjoy the sunset in a helicopter with Epic Helicopters… How stinkin cool is that???

Congratulations Dewan and Patricia… I am so blessed to have been the one to document this big moment for you. Thank you for trusting me!

By the way… My bags are already packed for New York… 😉
Much Love to you both
