The BE Project | Megan and “Alignment”
Every year, The BE Project invites people into my studio to pause, reflect, and choose a word that will guide the next chapter of their lives. It is not about perfection or reinvention overnight. It is about honesty. Courage. Becoming.
When Megan stepped in front of my camera, her word was layered with intention.
“Alignment.”
A desire to come back to herself after years of being everything for everyone else.
The BE Project exists because I believe that we are all evolving and every person deserves to see themselves as art while they are becoming the person they are meant to be.

Why She Chose “Alignment”
Megan talked about how long she has poured into motherhood, marriage, and the needs of others.
Somewhere along the way, her own voice quieted.
This year is about listening again.
She is grounding herself in faith, spending more time in Scripture, even handwriting the Bible from beginning to end as a way to slow down and reconnect spiritually.
Alignment is about bringing her identity, family, future, and purpose back into harmony.
“I’m trying to align with who I truly am.”
What She Is Working Toward This Year
Megan is proud of the boundaries she is learning to hold.
Letting herself feel without apology.
Choosing rest when her body asks for it.
Moving her body when it brings joy.
She is practicing honoring herself instead of performing for approval.
What Grounds Her
Megan credits both faith and love.
Her husband is her calm.
A steady presence after difficult relationships in the past.
Someone who encourages awareness, growth, and self-trust.
Together, spirituality and partnership create her foundation.
What She Is Learning About Herself
Megan is discovering that boundaries are not selfish.
They are sacred.
They protect the life she is building.
She is learning that alignment feels peaceful instead of forced.
Photographing “Alignment”
In the studio, alignment showed up as softness and strength living in the same space.
Her portraits felt centered.
Calm.
Assured.
A woman no longer scattered across everyone else’s expectations.
A Final Reflection
Megan’s story reminds us that coming home to yourself is holy work.
That healing your relationship with yourself changes everything else.
What word would you choose for this season of your life?
What are you stepping into this year?
