The BE Project – In a world where you can be anything…. What will you be?

Meet Ashley – her word for the 2023 BE Project is Enough

What word did you choose and why?

I chose the word Enough. I am working to remember that I am enough. The love that is present and stable in my life reassures me that I am enough. Even in the hard moments, I am enough.

This year I am focusing on the word Enough. I am working to remember that I am enough, and that I’ve spent enough time around people and things who felt inauthentic. I find reassurance in the love that is not only present in my life, but also stable in my life. It’s okay to show your vulnerability and emotions to your kids, because they should know that those feelings can exist without causing you to doubt whether you are enough. Even in the hard moments, you are enough. Even in the hard moments, I am enough. I don’t want my daughter to grow up questioning whether or not she is enough. She is and will always be enough.

If you could go back and talk to a younger version of yourself, what would you say?

If I could talk to the younger version of me, I’d tell that Ashely to be more patient. You don’t always have to just jump, you can think about it some first and decide if it’s really going to serve you and your family.

The BE Project with Beautiful Evolutions Photography

The BE Project was created in 2016.  Two crazy girls had an idea and it came to life on a napkin at lunch one day. They partnered with a local jeweler, Woolards Custom Jewelry and a beautiful necklace was created.  What began as a marketing campaign turned in to an annual photo project that has allowed people to share a word that is important to them and why that word guides them.  Each year, in January, the project opens back up for registrations.  One week is dedicated to photographing the incredible people that want to join us.  All images are black and white to keep from any distractions.  Just the human and their word.

Head over to THE BE Project page read some of the incredible stories that have been shared with us.
