Meet Chase – his word for the 2023 BE Project is Discipline
What word did you choose and why?
Discipline
I chose the word Discipline. I believe that discipline is the foundation of all success. Every area of your life can demand discipline – family, health, business, faith, friendships. Hard things are scary, but there is a freedom found in doing them. You need discipline to accomplish the hard things.
This year, the word I’d like to focus on is Discipline. Discipline is the foundation of all success and it is demanded in any part of your life that you want to excel in. Finding balance in life requires discipline. Being present for your family, creating wellness and health, accomplishing business goals, being there for your friendships, all of those things require discipline.
If you could go back and talk to a younger version of yourself, what would you say?
If I could go back and talk to Chase ten years ago, I’d tell him to work as hard as you can and to spend as much time as you can with your family on the weekends. I’d tell him that there is no magic pill to accomplishing anything in life, and to remember that things aren’t what make you happy. I’d tell him to be less selfish and show up for your family the way they need you to, and remember to focus on being present in the moment, because your life is right now.
As my kids continue to grow and face their own life challenges, I hope that they always remember that struggles are opportunities to grow, and I hope that they never ever give up.
