Lyndsie chooses Enough
Why does the word Enough resonate with you?
“I’ve always struggled with a performance mentality and I love perfection. I’m learning that I don’t always have to be perfect in order for that to be enough. I started realizing this about 4 years ago. I feel like I had an ah ha moment. I had my son about 6 years ago and so while the pregnancy itself was perfect and super fabulous, I ended up having to have a c-section which was not my ideal of the perfect plan. The doctor looked at me and said – at the end of the day, you will have your baby and I realized that was what mattered most. And that was enough. It was all ok. ”
If you could give a piece of wisdom to your son, what would it be?
“Take everything day by day. Try to make the best of each day.”
If you could impact the world in some way, what would that be?
I wish I could take compassion to a whole new level. People often think that you have to get along with everyone in order to show compassion. People can agree to disagree, and be as wrong as rain and it really doesn’t matter and still love that person with every ounce of their being regardless if they agree with each other or not. It’s so much better to show compassion than judge everyone and pretend you have it all figured out.”

Gigi chooses Resilient
Why does the word Resilient resonate with you?
“I chose resilient for my personal life, but I also choose the word blessed because of my motherhood. Those 4 kids are the reasons that keep me going. A part of the definition of resilient, you will find the word bulletproof. That stuck out to me because my daddy was a police officer for 30 years and I have his bulletproof vest. Somedays I think I should probably grab that instead of high heels because I feel like I dodge bullets every day. Booster Club, job, bills, dogs.. everything. As a mom and a woman we juggle so much and some days that is a struggle. So with that bulletproof mentality I have to remain resilient.”
If you could give your daughters any advice that they carried with them the rest of their life, what would that be?
“No mountain high enough and they can accomplish anything. But more specifically, take care of themselves. We spend our lives as a mother and wife taking care of everyone else and you often disregard yourself and what you need.”
What would you tell your boys?
“Stay committed to Christ. Be fully committed to the path they choose as fathers and husbands. Always do what it takes to be invested in your relationships. At the end of the day, show love. I want them to have compassion. I want them to be loyal and strong.”
If you knew you could make an impact on those in your life, what would you want that to be?
“I hope that every time I have a situation, I take a step back and treat you the way I would want you to treat me.”

Why does the word Free resonate with you?
“I am claiming that I will be free from expectations, free from debt and free to be the person that God wants me to be. I chose this word this year because I want to be free to live the life that God has designed for me and my purpose.”
If you could give your daughter any advice that she carried with her the rest of her life, what would that be?
“I would want for her to be her true, authentic, genuine self.”
What would you tell 15 year old Amy?
“Worry less about everything.”
If you knew you could make an impact on those in your life, what would you want that to be?
“That I am lifting up others. That I support them, believe in them and care for them.”

Why does the word Authentic Resonate with you?
“I feel like in today’s society everyone is so wrapped up in social media. Often times portraying a life that isn’t a true representation of who we are. As a mom with 4 kids, it’s so easy to get sucked into that world. I strive to teach my kids to be who they are, who God made them to be and just be your authentic self. God had a certain plan in mind when he created us – it is our responsibility to live up to that version of ourself.
If you could give your kids one piece of advice that they carry with them throughout life… what would that be?
Do what makes you happy. Don’t be a people pleaser. Do the things that inspire you, encourage you and motivate you… everything else will fall into place.

Why does the word Strong resonate with you?
“After my dad passing away, it’s brought a lot of anxiety into my life. It’s been 5 years and I still struggle to get a grip on the anxiety. I push through every day and try to be stronger than I was the day before. I am strong and I have to believe that “I’ve got this”. This next year I plan to get my real estate license back and becoming successful.”
If you could go back and tell 15 year old you anything… what would you say to her?
“Keep going to school!! Stay in sports and away from the boys. You are smarter than you think you are. You are more worthy than you know.
