Question: How to fashionably wear high waisted bottoms and crop tops?
Fact: Crop tops were a huge hit in the 80’s worn by Madonna, Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani. They started making a comeback to fashion in 2011.
What’s a better duo than Kanye and Kim? Duh, without a doubt high waisted shorts and crop tops. These two staple articles of clothing are quick to find and super easy to create the perfect summer outfit. The great thing about this outfit is the various styles you can create with just shorts and shirt.
Weekend time and ready to party, you can wear distressed black shorts with a dark colored crop top, some vans or Adidas and a pair of silver hoops for a stylish and basic outfit. Crop tops are extremely versatile and every girl can sport her style with the purchase of one shirt.
Special occasion? No worries, there’s plenty of higher end or fancier crop tops in stores near you. Rock it with a maxi skirt or high waisted Palazzo pants, which are super comfortable and the thin fabric keeps you cool throughout the day.
You can easily rock high waisted shorts with heels and casual wedges. And don’t forget to go all out with accessories when wearing casual crop tops, this can change your outfit from boring to styling in the snap of a finger.

Question: Do our eyebrows have to be identical?
Fact: Your eyebrows renew themselves every 64 days
Eyebrows are an important part of our facial structure. They define the face. This is why it is important to maintain them and have them looking how you desire. One tip to always remember is, your eyebrows are sisters not twins. So it’s okay if they are not perfectly identical, it’s normal.
You must maintain your eyebrows in a way that will not harm your body. We are all unique and have skin that reacts in different ways. Luckily there are various ways we can keep our brows in shape.
A very common option is waxing. Let your eyebrows grow out for a few weeks or however long it takes for your hair to grow to get them waxed. This will make it easier to shape your eyebrows how you would like. I recommend to go to a professional instead of doing it yourself. Waxing can be difficult to do on your own. Once you find a professional to wax your eyebrows remember to specify exactly how you want your eyebrows to look.
Another option is plucking, which is my preferred option. You can do this yourself and save money. All you need is a pair of tweezers and a compact mirror. You also do not have to wait for your eyebrows to grow out. Whenever there is an undesired hair you can easily pluck it.
Lastly you can thread your eyebrows. This will also require a professional so they can do it properly and it is required to let your brows grow beforehand. Don’t forget to let the person who threads your eyebrows know how you want your eyebrows to look like. This way you will have the brows you hoped for.
Once you get into a routine whether it’s going every other week to the salon or plucking them once a week you will know what works for you. You will begin seeing how long it takes for your eyebrows to grow back and how often you need to maintain them.
Eyebrows are a staple to a makeup look, which is why we need them to be on point.

Let me introduce you to Hailee, one of our 2018 Spokesmodels. Hailee is attending Burleson Centennial High School and will graduate Class of 2019. She brought along her sweet puppy Luna and we ROCKED out her session.
The light, the outfits, everything about this afternoon was fantastic.
Sometimes I have a vision in my mind. I have somethin
g that I want to create. I always ask my spokesmodels and their mommas to trust me. I’m so happy they did and I’m crazy in love with these images.
I love to hear what the kids on my team dream of. I’m always surprised by their answers. Hailee wants to have a career in forensics. I seriously can’t wait to see where this girls path leads her.
I also can’t wait to see the images we create this year. Hailee is on the drill team for Centennial and I love that I get to see a completely different version of her than the dance version. She’s stunning and has a beautiful little soul.
And really… can we just give a little love to Luna? She’s so sweet. She still had a puppy belly when we did Hailee’s shoot. LOVE!

Several months ago, I came across another photographer that posted about a campaign he had started. Thomas Nguyen is a photographer based out of Cincinnati that focuses on Seniors and Weddings. In a private group on Facebook – he discussed this campaign and what the underlying thoughts were behind it.
There are several “true beauty” campaigns out and we all have our own take on them. Project Beauty is different though… It’s raw, empowering and accurately depicts how beauty should be portrayed in social media. It has purpose and substance behind the message and the impact on our seniors is unlike anything I have ever seen before. As photographers, we have the opportunity to make an impact on our teens and seniors beyond what you can imagine and what Thomas has done with Project Beauty really taps into that. With Project Beauty , Thomas has said that this was a complete game changer for him. He told stories about how his girls began to come to him after with stories about how they had struggled with self -image and other mental health issues and that this campaign had an immense, positive impact on how they viewed themselves after the shoot.
We are working with girls struggling with depression, suicidal attempts, eating disorders, bullying, being victimized by sexual violence, fighting cancer and the list goes on. The response has been consistent and overwhelming. They want to figure out who they are, value themselves and embrace their true inner beauty!
We are not here to give you survival statistics, because let’s be honest; losing one girl is too many. As photographers we can step forward and deliver a powerful message. To be able to free these girls from the idea of perfection and empower them to not only feel confident about themselves, but embrace the flaws that make them so uniquely beautiful. To also allow those to come forward that have the strength and courage to tell their story and serve as an ambassador and a voice to those that have none.
I am proud to be a part of this campaign and honored to work with these girls. Over the next few weeks you will see these girls and learn what their definition of True Beauty is…

Say Hello to Dallas! Dallas is one of our 2018 Spokesmodel Members. He’s mysterious, and quiet, and well… he’s really stinkin funny. I was lucky enough to photograph his sister’s senior pictures and I’m really excited that he is on the Spokesmodel Team this year.
Dallas has a look all his own and it absolutely suits who he is as a person and an artist. Dallas has dreams to be a music producer… FUN FACT: He already has a couple of deals going.
Dallas will graduate from Centennial High School, Burleson Texas in 2019 – and I absolutely can’t wait to shoot more with him over the coming year.

Let me introduce to one of our 2018 Spokesmodel Members, Triniti. She is one of our underclassman for this years team – she will graduate Burleson High School in 2019. She’s just gorgeous and has the sweetest soul to match it.
One of the things that I ask all of my Spokesmodels is what their dreams are when they grow up. Well, she just completely blew me out of the water. Triniti has plans to attend Harvard Medical School and become a pediatric oncologist. Whoah!! Talk about a girl with a plan and on a mission. I have absolutely no doubt at all that she will achieve this and so much more.
Not only is she beautiful, and has big dreams… she’s very active. Triniti is in the band, colorguard as well as NHS.
I absolutely cannot wait until we shoot some more together. Ms. Triniti – you are remarkable!
