The BE Project – In a world where you can be anything…. What will you be?

Meet Cindy – her word for the 2023 BE Project is Strong

What word did you choose and why?

Strong

 I chose the word Strong. You can be physically strong, but also strong in character. Strong in influence and in knowledge. I want my faith to be strong so it serves as an anchor for myself and those around me. All of these goals culminate in becoming truly Strong.

This year I chose the word Strong. It’s so multi-faceted. Yes, in the most basic sense of the word I want to be able to physically move heavy things, and feel physically strong. More than that, being strong also means being confident and determined, two things that I am working on embodying more in my daily life. I want to be strong in character, in influence and knowledge, and for the strength of my faith to be an anchor not just for myself but for those around me. I want to be strong in my profession so that I can continue to serve my clients and community. 

I’m currently working on transforming the outer shell to match the transformation that is happening in my inner world as well. To be a force for good you have to be strong in all aspects of your life, and that is what I want for 2023. “Strong” is the ultimate culmination of all of the things that have my focus for this year. 

 

 

            

What is The BE Project?

Have you ever stopped to think about who or what you want to be?  Most often there is a word that drives you.  If you sit in the silence and really think about what type of person you want to be… there will be a word, sometimes more than one word, that will guide you along and push you to keep being a better version of yourself.  This photo project has become something that has touched my heart and hopefully those that have participated. I chose to shoot all of the images in black and white because I wanted the least amount of distractions.  Just the human and the word.   This project is the stories of some amazing people, their stories, and what these words mean to them.  Some have participated each of the 4 years we have done this, some are new each time.  It’s an amazing honor to follow along in their journey and document who they are becoming.
