The BE Project – In a world where you can be anything…. What will you be?

Meet Hailey – her word for the 2023 BE Project is Clear

What word did you choose and why?

Clear

  I chose the word Clear. I want to have clear vision, a clear mind, and a clear perspective. When you string together the individual days of clear perspective, it can create something really amazing. 

I try to set goals every year but this year I want to really be clear about the steps I’m intentionally taking to get there. I want to carve out 15 minutes every morning to set my steps for the day, and really focus on the small things. When you focus on the small things, the big things tend to work themselves out. I want to put in clear and concentrated efforts to my relationship, to my work, and just to each day. 

So with that effort in my mind, my word this year is Clear. It’s a word that has meaning at surface level but also when you dig in a little deeper. I aim to be clearer in complexion, and enjoy clearer vision now that I have glasses, and overall – just to be really clear in mind, about my intentions and goals for each day. When you string together multiple days with a clear perspective, it can create something really amazing. 

 

 

 

 

What is The BE Project?

Have you ever stopped to think about who or what you want to be?  Most often there is a word that drives you.  If you sit in the silence and really think about what type of person you want to be… there will be a word, sometimes more than one word, that will guide you along and push you to keep being a better version of yourself.  This photo project has become something that has touched my heart and hopefully those that have participated. I chose to shoot all of the images in black and white because I wanted the least amount of distractions.  Just the human and the word.   This project is the stories of some amazing people, their stories, and what these words mean to them.  Some have participated each of the 4 years we have done this, some are new each time.  It’s an amazing honor to follow along in their journey and document who they are becoming.
