What word did you choose and why?

Determined

I chose the word Determined. I am determined to focus on my goals. I am determined to finish what I start. I am determined to help those around me identify their goals, and then help them reach them. I am determined to stand in confidence.

   I am a helper by nature. I just want to help everyone around me, and in my profession I hear a lot of goals that others are setting for themselves. I am determined to help more people reach those goals, and not just in my professional role, but in life in general. I can struggle with focusing on my goals at times, and have been known to start so many things that I don’t finish them all. This year I’m really determined to focus on my goals and finish what I start.

If you could go back and talk to a younger version of yourself, what would you say?

            If I could go back and speak to younger Jenna, I’d tell her just don’t be scared. I believe I missed out on some opportunities because I was too nervous to really embrace them. I’m so much braver now, I learned through some of life’s trials that I am stronger than I ever imagined. If my daughter were to carry one piece of advice from me throughout all of her days, I hope that she will never be afraid to just be herself. She is an exceptional child, so bold and confident. I hope she always remembers to just be herself.
